A Place To Call Home is about family. It is our mission to provide as natural a family environment as possible, to accommodate short and long-term or more permanent additions within our fostering and adopting families. We believe in natural family supports such as security, emotional/personal bonding, healthy family values, responsible parenting, fellowship and love. Our approach to nurturing wholesome qualities, behavioral coping skills and educational supports, provides a more natural and positive developmental impact on the children, youth and adults we serve.
A Place To Call Home recruits only the best foster families and professional staff to join our team. Prioritizing our children and adults in care, as well as having a genuine passion for helping our most vulnerable populations, is the benchmark for success in our organization.
A Place To Call Home is one of the few foster care providers that is multiply contracted with DES/DCS/DDD, and Native American communities across Arizona. This allows our families to have more options in fostering children and adults and allows our staff to have a more universal education within the foster care arena.

Primary Purpose, Services and Goals:
A Place To Call Home was formed to make a difference in the lives of persons with special needs and disabilities. The need for quality families is tremendous because the number of individuals in need of foster care services, including Adult Developmental Homes, continues to rise in Arizona and the United States. APTCH serves as a conduit to the partnership of families with individuals in the foster care system, contracting with the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities and Department of Child Safety as well as various Native American communities, to provide rehabilitation and support services for children, adolescents and adults with special needs and developmental disabilities. APTCH recruits, trains and recommends for licensure individuals and families who meet the required qualifications and guidelines. APTCH works in cooperation with DES and other social services entities to facilitate licensing and placement and secure/provide ongoing support and monitoring.
APTCH prioritizes the care of foster children and adults, servicing as an advocate for families. As a part of APTCH, families will experience a relationship where quality matters, there is a significant commitment to the success of each family and decisions are made with the utmost concern for the well-being of children, adolescents and adults. Quality and timely services is our trademark but stability and permanency is our goal.

APTCH believes in staff retention and attempts to sustain employees in numerous ways. We believe in hiring the right people and promoting within whenever it is in the best interest of the Company. Each position, in essence, is one that has the prospective to prepare for a possible promotion to the next level. Employees have the potential to develop and expand their work responsibilities, for which to master their current position. When openings or expansion occurs, the Company allows the opportunity within to apply and express their desire to move toward an upward mobility.
